Forget-Me-Not Farms first maple syrup

 This is what it looked like outside, as the boys and I started the sap boiling to make maple syrup.

 We have never done this before, so it took lots of stirring and figuring before we were getting it right!

 We found out that we had to take the sides of the pan off the blocks for it to boil.

At 10PM, when the moon looked like this, we took off our first syrup, and this morning we had pancakes with sweet homemade maple syrup.

WELCOME! Springtime at Small Graces

Welcome to Small Graces, it will soon be spring and all kinds of exciting wonderful things happen then on our farm. These are some of our favorite photos from last spring.

For now, we still have snow, and our winter chores, but we are also curled up to the seed catalogues in the evening, and getting our lambing supplies ready, and best of all, picking out new recipies to make for our guests.  Can't wait to have you come for a visit.
