The inaugraul tomatoe!

The first Tomatoe plant, in our beautiful greenhouse, built for our farm, by my hubby and family. Finished on Mothers Day weekend. We might have a lot of photos taken here in the future, because we are spending much time in here!

The end walls have to be built, but we have heirloom organic tomatoe seeds planted, melon, lettuce, pumpkin, (we think...more like mystery plant) and marigolds.

Watering the first planting. Yay! Forget me not Farm REALLY has our greenhouse!!

First Lamb! Early bird!

This is Crocus, our first lamb of the season, we were caught by surprise, not supposed to happen until May!  I guess somebody snuck somewhere before they were supposed to last fall! Anyway it is a happy accident and ends in a little ewe (girl) lamb, she is a Jacob, and Jewel and Bug are very happy.

An Idea for guests

Front Porch at Small Graces B&B
http://www.takeyourpickflowers.com/

On Saturday, at the CSA fair, we met a lovely lady, with a great business.  She was giving out these attractive paper flowers full of sunflower seeds, and I saw them floating around the room.  So I had to go over and take a look at her table.  I think this is the perfect place for our guests to go visit!  As you travel around the lake, going to parks, or waterfalls, or wineries--go pick some flowers!  How fun.  Leave a comment, let me know what you think!
PS we still have lots of openings for this season, but we are starting to get more calls than usual, for  this time of year, so heads up if you  need a certain date, call soon. 607-659-5630

Sweet Breakfast!

Chai bread with maple glaze,
local, delicious, organic ham, baked apples with cinnamon and maple syrup made here on our property, just a few days ago.  Orange Juice and delicious organic coffee. Oh,
I forgot the best part, it is delivered right to the door of the cottage.
We would love to bring a tray to you, see you soon.

Natural, beautiful, local soap

Just couldn't resist snapping a photo of the nice soap made for us, by local soap artist, and natural homesteader, Lesley McLelland of Rampart's Edge Farm.
She custom blends each batch, and this is our own signature soap.
Lavender shea butter.  It is SO SMOOTH, and makes your skin feel great.
This is our guest soap, and also for sale at our farmers market and the B&B farm shop.
p.s. the shea butter is organic and fair trade, from Ghana!!!
